Our Wedding | Ceremony

Saturday May 15th at 12:30 our wedding ceremony began!! After all of the planning, traveling, set up, ordering & worrying it was actually here!! We lucked out with THE MOST PERFECT BOONE WEATHER and thoroughly enjoyed our rooftop ceremony at The Horton. Boone weather can be very unpredictable… earlier in the week, even up until the day before there was lots of rain & surprise- snow! (in May?!) but on our wedding day we were blessed with a 70 degree bright & sunny day!!!! It was the most wonderful backdrop to exchange our vows and celebrate with our loved ones!

When guests arrived to the main lobby of the Horton Hotel, they road the elevators up to the roof which was all ours for the afternoon, our rooftop lobby table featured our cake, a memorial display for our deceased loved ones and a guest book.

Faith Church Violin greeted guests with her talents and played before and throughout the ceremony, having live music was such a treat and a detail I really enjoyed! Faith is a fellow App Alumni, she teaches & performs violin all over Boone and the High Country, she has such a gift and is so kind, professional and nice to work with!

Our guests quickly filled up the roof top space and it was so awesome to see everyone together in one place after such a tumultuous 2020- so many of us hadn’t been together in so long! Our wedding day quickly reminded me how magical and valuable quality family time is!

Dad and I entered the roof from the back via the fire escape! It worked out perfectly though, this way we had an aisle to walk down! My Dad walking me down the aisle was really special, our wedding plans changed many times from what I thought they would initially be, but regardless of what we did Dad walking me down the aisle was something I could always count on. I realize not everyone gets that lucky so I really appreciated it and soaked it in… it’s not often that what I picture in my head years ago actually happens?! So for my Dad to walk me down the aisle on my wedding day, I was really thankful and happy!

& waiting at the top of the stairs was my GROOM! eek! So handsome!

Our florist Log House Florist hooked us up with the most beautiful arrangements & decor!!

Reverend Sandie Possman with High Country Ministers officiated our ceremony! She was so wonderful to us in the planning process and did a great job bringing our ceremony all together, she provided so many options to us, so we could customize our service and vows.

I cried basically our entire ceremony… haha I just couldn’t get it together!
It was all I could do to look Dillon in the eye!

The ceremony was the best part! We didn’t actually have a rehearsal or anything… we just hoped everyone would show up at the right time & go for it, happy to say it all worked out day of! 🙂

Hooray!! We are married!

& as always THANK YOU Natural Craft Photography for these images we will cherish forever!
