To close out Summer and get in a big trip before school, Dillon & I decided to head to Disney World! why not?! Dillon had never been before, this was his very first trip! and I hadn’t been in years, so a trip to Disney was well overdue. I have nothing but amazing Disney memories, but I think I had forgotten how incredible it really is?! We had such a wonderful trip, I am so thrilled we booked out the week for 100% fun together, so worth it!

Disney All Star Music Resort
The flight from NC to FL is so quick & easy! Originally we had planned to have a chill afternoon at the hotel prior to the parks, but when we arrived around 3pm the excitement took over, what were we waiting for?! Our concierge quickly & easily added an additional park day for us (only $20 more!) & we took off! Meanwhile, Disney was loading our bags into our room from the airport & we were boarding the shuttle for our bonus Magic Kingdom day! Staying on Disney property makes things even so much more fun & easy!

Our room was in Country Music Land towards the back of the campus, so we definitely got our steps in! but since it was just Dillon & I, it wasn’t a big deal at all, we got such a great deal & it was fun to walk through all of themes on the way to our room ๐ There were 2 awesome pools to enjoy & a cafeteria for late night snacks & unlimited drinks!

Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom is my favorite park! I am obsessed with Splash Mountain! Not to mention all of the other great rides! Dillon really enjoyed Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, we rode it probably 6 times!! & Since we got 2 park days, we left no stone unturned! It’s a Small World, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger, Country Bear Jamboree, Jungle Cruise, Mad Tea Party, Peter Pan’s Flight (with the absolute best queue!), Pirates of the Caribbean (Dillon’s 1st Disney ride ever!), 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, The Hall of Presidents, Swiss Family Treehouse, Tom Sawyer’s Island, Main St USA. Just all of the ultimate classics– it was weird how I could so vividly remember being in these places before with my family so long ago & yet everything still looks so new, clean & fresh! ~Magic!

Epcot
“Traveling” to all of the different countries via Epcot is such a blast! There’s so much to look at, eat + drink! The only thing we couldn’t check off was the Frozen ride?! By chance, we had just missed the ride right before it got stuck on the track & closed for maintenance the rest of the day?! So we quickly re-routed our Fast Pass & kept moving! Favorites of ours included- Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the 3 Caballeros, Mission: Space, Soarin’ Around the World, Spaceship Earth, Test Track, and The American Adventure. We absolutely loved walking around to the different locations & the huge fireworks show at the end of the night!

Hollywood Studios
Don’t sleep on Hollywood Studios! It is so fun & will only be getting better with the new additions of Star Wars & Toy Story Land! -aka: planning our return trip asap! We got to see some of the construction projects & it is going to be amazing!! Regardless, we had so much fun thanks to- Fantasia, Alien Swirling Sauces, Muppet Vision 3D, Aerosmith’s Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster (has to be the fastest ride of all), The Tower of Terror, and the Great American Movie Ride– which sadly is closing later this year so we got to enjoy the final Summer! I love eating at the Drive in movie diner, its a fun place to cool off & I couldn’t stop thinking about being there as a kid, so crazy!

A Day at Universal Studios
By the time our day at Universal came around, we were kind of beat from 4 straight days of non stop rides?! not the best timing, but we persevered! We enjoyed ALL of Harry Potter World– Escape from Gringotts, Hogwarts Express, Hogsmeade Village, Flight of the Hippogriff, The Castle!! [it was so cool to see how this area had expanded since 2012 when I came with Brooke] + Race Through NY with Jimmy Fallon, Revenge of the Mummy, Men In Black: Alien Attack, Springfield USA, Twister, Marvel Island, Toon Lagoon, Jurassic Park [Holy Cow! What a surprise ending!!] & Poseidon’s Fury!

Animal Kingdom + PANDORA
To be honest, I haven’t ever even seen any of the Pandora movies?! But I absolutely loved the rides!! –I’ll have to add Pandora to my watch list. Unfortunately, we had to wait over 4 hrs for the Pandora ride (crowds, maintenance, lack of availability, etc) but some how it was worth the wait?! Incredible!! Other favorites of ours included- Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safari & all of the amazing animals + delicious foods! Dinner was so fun at Rainforest Cafe!

Just putting together this quick recap post has me smiling & feeling extra excited! We made the best memories & I absolutely cannot wait for our next vacation!! I love you Dillon, thank you for the best trip!!
