Holiday Season Happies! 2019

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all!
The holiday season is my absolute favorite time of the year and it is such a treat to be able to stretch out the celebrations November-December! This year I wasn’t in school -shocking! I know! So I was able to totally embrace the season without the worry of final exams. Amazing! Needless to say, we broke out the decorations super early & I was so happy to put a tree up! It was also super fun to get the extra special time with friends & family… I worked night shift Christmas Eve+Day, and our family was recovering from surgeries so we had to move a few things around but we made it work! 🙂

Peppermint Pedicures with Ashley! my dear App State friend, who now lives allll the way in California came for a visit! I love getting to visit with her, we always pick up right where we left off & she is the best! so were our minty pedis!

Christmas Cookies! After lots of trial & error, I finally figured out the mystery of royal icing! With the help of Devon & Dillon, we made 100s of cookies to share with our family and friends!! So ~~stressful~~ I mean fun! 😉

Dillon got his Grandma’s bread recipe & began baking up a storm! It is the best sour dough, so good 🙂

Mom & I made a trip to The Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. It was the most beautiful place and a trip I will never forget! It was so peaceful and amazing to enjoy the crisp warm mountain air and relax togehter, so lucky!We had the best QT filled with lots of great shopping, sight seeing & sweet treats! GPI hosts the Annual Gingerbread Bake Off Competition, we were in awe of the projects an quite inspired!

No Christmas is complete without a gift exchange with Brooke we met in Burlington “our middle” for lunch and catch up time!

Our patients showed their appreciation big time with so many fun holiday treats!! The reindeer cake pops were delicious & so cute! It was nice to come into work & have fun surprises!

Christmas Day, our family gathered at The Carolina Inn for brunch, it was amazing! The decorations were fantastic & the many food choices delicious! I missed being home but I loved having time together & not having to worry about cooking. This was the perfect solution for an in between night shift celebration!
