Mom’s MLIS Graduation Party!

Tonight we celebrated my Mom-
Suzy M Collins, Master of Library and Information Science!

It was such an honor to celebrate her accomplishments thus far, and so fun to surprise her with a special dinner party!! Mom deserves all the praise after working so hard & I love having the opportunity to extra celebrate these major milestones.

Our theme for the night was blue & gold, UNCG colors! & we tried to remember all of the details… We had a cake made to model Mom’s “first library stamp” a jewelry box she would rub crayon on to “stamp” her books when playing as a child. I love that she still has it even!

The past few years have not always been easy or fun, but Mom has worked so hard to make it happen! Working full time, being a wife + mom + daughter, graduate student… is a lot and watching Mom be so dedicated to her goals & persevere has been so inspiring.

YAY!! I love you Mom & we are all so PROUD of you!!!

The best part of the celebration, was basking in the glory with all of our special guests! Everyone in attendance: friends, family, coworkers, classmates have all had a special part in Mom’s path; and to be surrounded by all of her cheerleaders over an amazing dinner, drinks and great conversation was such a special evening I will never forget! It was a privilege to be surrounded by so much positive energy!

There is nothing I love more than having positive things to celebrate & then putting together a celebration! Thank you to everyone who came out to honor Mom & to our vendors for helping make everything come together so lovely!
