My Monthly Recap- November 2022

This month has been a big transition as we slowly but surely move into our new home!! We are navigating our work schedules, saying good bye to Durham (aka- I’m trying to stay as long as possible to enjoy the shorter commute), balancing pregnancy, homework & exam schedules, packing, ordering & scheduling deliveries, as well as prepping for and enjoying the busy holiday schedules! It’s amazing all that goes into moving, especially into a new build- we are learning that you are totally starting from scratch! For instance, Dillon had to apply to have our address even added to Google & Apple maps so we could get delivery and maintenance services! Then it’s setting up all of the utilities, internet, water… etc. It will be a great feeling to have all of our things in one place and start to settle in and really feel at home here. I am so looking forward to it, but I realize there are MANY steps to this process!

I was happy to have time off of work to celebrate Thanksgiving with family! Shout out to everyone working the holidays and keeping the hospital afloat. My parents hosted the entire Collins family at their home for the first time this year and we all got to enjoy the new deck and outdoor/indoor spaces… we had a great holiday & an amazing spread!! {recap post here}

We kicked off the month with a day trip to Winston Salem, NC! Our family went to Old Salem and KP Photography got some great shots for this years Christmas cards!

After our photos we dined together at The Porch- Kitchen & Cantina it was delicious!! The restaurant is dog friendly & we really enjoyed the outdoor dining in the igloo setting 🙂 We also lucked out with the best November weather!
