September has been such a busy, joyful month!
LIFE
We finally announced our baby news! {post here!} I personally wanted to wait until after the anatomy scan, but thankfully I was more comfortable to share after a successful first trimester & our families were definitely ready to talk! We also had some family events coming up and I didn’t want to show up with a bump without saying anything lol I’m still not too obviously showing yet, but there have been lots of changes! It’s been fun to share our news with everyone though, I still can’t believe this is really happening?!
WORK
I submitted PTO requests for the first time in a while & WOW! Does working 2 days a week make such a difference!? Happy to do it, this way I could get all my school work done, rest & make it to our fall weddings & football weekends! HOORAY!
PLAY
CONGRATULATIONS to my cousin AJ & his new wife Katrina! We enjoyed the best wedding at The Inn at Ragged Gardens in Blowing Rock, NC. Somehow in all of my years in the mountains I have never known this spot, but it is an amazing inn located on Main Street in downtown Blowing Rock, it is so beautiful!
Ironically enough, that same exact day our bestie John was also getting married in Asheville, NC! Dillon and I split up the ceremonies, but I was so happy to join everyone the night before! I can’t believe I didn’t get a group photo, but we had the most fun night under the stars and everyone stayed on location at the cabin and yurt campsites! Such a fun experience! COLLEGE GAME DAY also made it’s way to App State for the first time in program history!!! So we had to get there and check it out! It was so amazing to get the Win & see the whole ESPN set up across campus! So exciting!
The following weekend we were back again for the JMU game, which sadly wasn’t a W… but we had the most delicious food & best weather. Shout out to- Foggy Rock, Proper & Dan’l Boone Inn for always delivering!! I love a mountain weekend away & we got 2 this month!! Dream come true π
Back at home, we made sure to play with Lucy & our besties Christina + Ollie as much as possible! We’ve had awesome weather for all of the park dates, trail walks & even the POOCH PLUNGE!! This was Ollie’s 1st time swimming & Lucy’s 1st time with lots of dogs in a swimming pool?! She was a little overwhelmed at first but then she found her stride, she LOVES the water! {post here} Lucy got some good souvenirs while we were gone & shout out to the best SITTERS: Devon & Noelle for keeping her more than happy while we were out of town π
Sad to say good bye to summer, but very much enjoying this prime fall weather lately!
